A country house wedding in the winter is a beautiful thing - envisage sumptuous flowers in rich velvety colours, winter foliage and lots of candlelight. And where better to host this winter wedding than the most beautiful Cornwell Manor in the Cotswolds. A stunning period house full of charm and elegance.
A festive entrance
Start the weekend off giving your guests a sneak peak of what’s to come by dressing this gorgeous entrance with a beautiful festive door wreath. Sumptuous romantic roses teamed with seasonal greens and added interest from rose hips and apple slices.
A winter bridal bouquet
At this time of year in the winter season, the trees have lost their leaves and nature is about textures and berries. I like to reflect this in my bouquets and keep the season at the forefront of my designs. So we have rich velvety roses teamed with thistles and berries to give texture and eucalyptus and acacia foliage adding interest and scent to the bouquet.
Choose some of the smaller flowers used in the bouquet to create the Groom’s buttonhole, giving that wonderful romantic connection between the two.
Winter wedding breakfast tablescape
A show stopping winter tablescape for your wedding breakfast, in the beautiful ornate surroundings of the ballroom at Cornwell Manor. Tall arrangements on the table are perfect for the real wow factor and complement the gorgeous high ceilings. Then add smaller florals at the base to add interest when seated.
Create a luxurious warmth on the table by adding candles and beautiful place settings to match the flowers in rich reds and greens, perfect for the winter and festive period.
